Flipping good pancakes for the twinning club

The annual pancake supper was held at the Town Hall on Shrove Tuesday (28th February this year) with around forty members and guests including Mayor Councillor Trevor Manley.

Chairman Andy Tyler welcomed the guests before Paul Brandon gave an update on the forthcoming visit by members of the Emmerich Club for the May Bank Holiday coinciding with the Great East Anglia Run and the Lions Family Fun Day. A football team from Emmerich will play a Lynn side on the Saturday and German runners have entered the new 10K run. (see story page 3).

Penny Dossetor gave details of the Norfolk Twinning Clubs’ 12K sponsored walk in aid of the RNLI in April from Wroxham to Aylsham.  Previous events have proven a great success and it is hoped as many members as possible will participate. It is a 50/50 event with half the sponsorship money going to the Twinning Club.

Andy Tyler receives his pancake from Caroline Wright of West Norfolk Flying Chef who catered for the event.
