King's Lynn/Emmerich Twinning Club

About the Club

The King's Lynn/Emmerich Twinning Club came into being in 1978 with the idea of encouraging social, cultural and sporting exchanges between the two towns.

Bands, choirs, sports clubs and schools all make exchanges on a regular basis and the Committee helps to put special interest groups in touch with each other.

Official visits are made each year in late May, King's Lynn visiting Emmerich in odd numbered years and Emmerich visiting King's Lynn in the even years. You do not have to speak German to join in the activities of the Club.

The Annual General Meeting is held in October, followed by a social evening. Other social events are arranged at approximately three-monthly intervals, often a Sunday lunch in a pub.

Membership costs £15 per year per person over16 years.
